The Best Lake Geneva weekend events Calendar for August 14 to 16 has a free water ski show at Lauderdale Lakes, Roun’da Manure rolling out of Sharon, live music all over the county, farmers market mornings, and a Saturday afternoon symphony concert in Lake Geneva. It’s a busy weekend, but downtown Lake Geneva hasn’t hit Venetian Festival mode yet.

What Lake Geneva weekend events are happening August 14 to 16?

If you want the quick version, start here:

• Friday: Williams Bay Farmers Market in the morning, Southern Wakes United at Lauderdale Lakes at 6 PM, then a long list of live music.
• Saturday: Roun’da Manure starts in Sharon at 6:30 AM, Lake Geneva Symphony plays at 4 PM, and Phoenix Park has a free Fleetwood Mac tribute at 7 PM.
• Sunday: Big Al Wetzel plays The Abbey Resort from noon to 3 PM, with more music at Duesterbeck’s and around Lake Como.
• All weekend: Jay White’s Neil Diamond tribute runs at The Belfry through Saturday.
• Regular train rides: East Troy Railroad continues its summer operating schedule. Check departure times before making the drive.

I’d call Saturday the strongest day. You can build a very good day without going near a giant festival crowd.

Friday, August 14

Williams Bay Farmers Market

Start in Williams Bay.

The Friday farmers market runs at Edgewater Park from 8 AM to 1 PM. It’s right on the lakefront, so this works well with a morning coffee and a walk along the park before the day gets hot.

Southern Wakes United at Lauderdale Lakes

Southern Wakes United has a free water ski show at Lauderdale Landing from 6 to 7 PM.

There’s something very Wisconsin about ending a Friday by watching people build human pyramids behind a boat. I recommend leaning into it.

Jay White’s Neil Diamond tribute

Jay White performs at The Belfry Music Theatre at 7 PM.

This is the third night of the August 12 to 15 run. The Belfry is on WI-67 near the Williams Bay and Delavan line, so it’s a practical west-end night if you’re staying in Fontana or Williams Bay.

Doghouse Roses at Pier 290

Doghouse Roses plays Pier 290 from 7 to 11 PM.

The lakefront setting is the reason I’d choose Pier 290 when the weather is good. If you want a table with dinner, reserve rather than hoping Friday night sorts itself out.

Terry Byrne at Duesterbeck’s

Terry Byrne plays Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company in Elkhorn from 6 to 9 PM.

Duesterbeck’s is at N5543 County Road O, a little north of Elkhorn. It’s a good choice if you’re coming from Lauderdale Lakes and want to keep the night on that side of the county.

Mars Resort on Lake Como

Mars Resort has Bahama Bob outside from 4 to 7 PM, followed by Scott & Amber from 7 to 10 PM.

This is the version of Friday night where dinner becomes the evening. I’m okay with that.

Saturday, August 15

Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour

The Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour starts early in Sharon.

Check-in begins at 6:30 AM and runs until 10 AM. Riders can start after check-in and choose among marked routes through the countryside around southern Walworth County.

The event site says there are more than 100 miles of route options. Cue sheets and marked turns are part of the setup, and riders receive Moo Bucks for snack stops along the way.

One useful warning from the organizer: its GPS route files were still being updated for 2026 when checked. Use the current event materials handed out for this year’s ride.

Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra: American Soundscape

Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra performs American Soundscape at Covenant Harbor from 4 to 5:30 PM.

This lands in a sweet spot. You can spend the middle of the day on the lake, clean up, hear the symphony, then still have time for dinner.

Hypnotized at Phoenix Park Bandshell

Hypnotized performs the music of Fleetwood Mac at Phoenix Park Bandshell in Delavan from 7 to 9 PM.

Phoenix Park is one of the area’s best summer habits. Bring a chair and give yourself time to settle in before the first song.

Pier 290 has 2 Saturday sets

Scott Huffman plays from 2:30 to 6:30 PM.

Then Telstar takes over from 7 to 11 PM.

If you’re already in Williams Bay, that’s enough music to build the entire afternoon and evening around one lakefront stop.

Thirsty Boots Band at Duesterbeck’s

Thirsty Boots Band plays the outdoor Patio Stage from 6 to 9 PM.

Burlington live music

Brew & Ole’s in Burlington has Mike Suvaka from 6 to 9 PM.

If you were in Burlington Thursday for the Aquaducks and decided the drive was easier than expected, this is another reason to head east.

The Belfry closes its Neil Diamond run

Jay White’s final show of the week is Saturday at 7 PM.

Ticket availability can tighten by Saturday, so I wouldn’t leave this one to a last-minute decision.

If I were planning Saturday

I’d choose 1 side of the county and stick with it.

Option 1: Sharon and Lake Geneva. Ride Roun’da Manure in the morning, recover for a few hours, then head to Covenant Harbor for the 4 PM symphony.

Option 2: Williams Bay and Delavan. Spend the afternoon at Pier 290, have dinner, then drive to Phoenix Park for Hypnotized at 7 PM.

Both plans keep the driving reasonable. That matters more on an August Saturday than squeezing in one extra stop.

Sunday, August 16

Big Al Wetzel at The Abbey Resort

Big Al Wetzel plays Burnin’ Down the Docks from noon to 3 PM at The Abbey Resort in Fontana.

Food service for the event starts at 11 AM. The music starts at noon.

This is my Sunday pick if you want to stay near Geneva Lake and keep the pace easy.

Pete Henry at Duesterbeck’s

Pete Henry plays Duesterbeck’s from 1 to 4 PM in the Pig Barn.

Mars Resort Sunday doubleheader

Mars Resort has Chad Hell outside from 3 to 6 PM.

Moon Dog follows from 6 to 9 PM.

That’s a lot of Sunday for anyone trying to claim they’re going home early.

Pier 290

Scott Huffman plays Pier 290 from noon to 4 PM.

If you’re already in Williams Bay, this is an easy last stop before heading back toward Chicago or Milwaukee.

What I’d book ahead

The Belfry is the clearest advance-ticket decision.

For restaurants with live music, I’d also reserve dinner rather than assume a Friday or Saturday table will be waiting. Pier 290 and the lakefront restaurants fill faster when the weather is good.

Roun’da Manure accepts registration through its official event process. Read the current ride instructions before arriving in Sharon.

What I’d leave flexible

Keep the outdoor music flexible.

Phoenix Park, Lauderdale Lakes, patio shows and resort music all depend on weather behaving. Check the organizer page the day of the event if storms are anywhere near the forecast.

And if the weather turns, The Belfry is the strongest indoor backup on this particular weekend.
