Lake Geneva House of Music
The fest takes over the House of Music grounds on County Road H in Geneva Township, about a quarter mile north of Geneva Lake. The property sits at the edge of the Lake Como wetlands.
It has 4 separate venues: 2 outdoor stages and 2 indoor ones. That’s a lot of room for a festival that mixes food, shopping, and live sets across 3 days.
Here’s the detail visitors miss. The mailing address says Lake Geneva, but you’re outside downtown. Plan on driving or getting dropped off, and don’t count on strolling over from your hotel on Wrigley Drive.
And because the grounds back up to wetlands, bring bug spray for Friday and Saturday evenings. September mosquitoes near open water are no joke.
How this fest got here
The event ran for several years as the Lake Geneva Taco Fest on these same grounds. The 2025 edition was held September 12-14, according to its Visit Lake Geneva listing, which described dozens of vendors, a Best Taco award, a pepper-eating contest, a mechanical bull, midway rides, and piñatas.
For 2026, tequila joined the name. The organizer hasn’t posted a full 2026 attractions list in public listings yet, so treat past extras as a guide and confirm on Facebook.

Lake Geneva is roughly 80 miles from the Loop. Figure about 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on which side of the city you start from and how bad the traffic is.
