Lake Geneva live music from Wednesday, August 12 through Tuesday, August 18 runs from Terry Byrne at Maxwell Mansion to lakefront sets at Pier 290, free live music at Phoenix Park, brewery shows in Elkhorn, resort live music in Fontana, and a 4-night Neil Diamond tribute at The Belfry. Expect to find more events showcasing Lake Geneva live music throughout the week.

• Wednesday: Terry Byrne at Maxwell Mansion, 6 to 9 PM.
• Thursday: Big Al Duo at Geneva National, 6 to 9 PM, with Craig Colson at Mars Resort and Mike VanDyke at Pier 290.
• Friday: Doghouse Roses at Pier 290, Terry Byrne at Duesterbeck’s, and multiple Lake Como and Fontana sets.
• Saturday: Hypnotized at Phoenix Park from 7 to 9 PM, plus Telstar at Pier 290 and Thirsty Boots Band at Duesterbeck’s.
• Sunday: Big Al Wetzel at The Abbey Resort from noon to 3 PM, with music continuing at Pier 290, Mars Resort and Duesterbeck’s.

The strongest concentration is Friday through Sunday. Wednesday is better than usual too.

The lakefront does a lot of the work here. I’d book dinner if you want a table close to the music.

Lake City Social has its regular Wednesday live music slot from 6 to 9 PM in downtown Lake Geneva.

Glenn Davis Blues Jam at Hogs & Kisses

The weekly Glenn Davis Blues Jam runs late at Hogs & Kisses, generally 9 to 11:30 PM.

This is the downtown pick when 9 PM feels like the start of the night.

Jay White at The Belfry

Jay White’s Neil Diamond tribute starts a 4-night run at 7 PM.

This is a ticketed theater show. The run continues Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Abbey Resort

Hypnotized at Phoenix Park

Hypnotized plays Phoenix Park Bandshell from 7 to 9 PM.

It’s a Fleetwood Mac tribute in a downtown park bandshell. This is the Saturday plan I’d send to someone who wants live music without turning the evening into a big-ticket concert.

Pier 290: Scott Huffman and Telstar

Scott Huffman plays from 2:30 to 6:30 PM.

Telstar plays from 7 to 11 PM.

You can make Pier 290 the whole day if you want. Just reserve a table if dinner is part of it.

Thirsty Boots Band at Duesterbeck’s

The event is at The Waterfront in Fontana. Food starts at 11 AM.

If you start there and stay for Burnin’ Down the Docks, you’ve made a fairly serious commitment to Sunday. I respect it.

Music Monday at The Getaway

The Getaway on Lake Como runs Music Monday through the summer season.

The venue’s current live music page doesn’t name the August 17 performer, so check before heading over.

Tuesday, August 18

Taco Tuesday open mic and jam

Lake Geneva House of Music runs its recurring Tuesday open mic and jam format.

This is the musician-led Tuesday night in the area. Check the Lake Geneva House of Music calendar for the current start time and any week-specific changes.

Whitewater City Market

Whitewater City Market runs from 4 to 7 PM at Cravath Lakefront Park.

The city’s scheduled August 18 program is a Kids-to-Kids Rummage Sale at 6 PM. No named band is posted for this date on the current Parks and Recreation special-events page.

That’s worth saying plainly because the City Market often does have music, and I don’t want to invent a performer to fill a blank.

Lake Geneva

This is the deepest week for Lake Geneva live music.

Wednesday has Terry Byrne at Maxwell Mansion, Lake City Social’s regular set, and the late Glenn Davis Blues Jam at Hogs & Kisses.

Thursday adds Lake Como music at Mars Resort and Next Door Pub Lakeside. Friday through Sunday keeps Lake Como busy with Mars Resort and The Getaway.

Williams Bay

Pier 290 carries most of the Williams Bay schedule this week.

Marr’Lo plays Wednesday, Mike VanDyke Thursday, Doghouse Roses Friday, Scott Huffman and Telstar Saturday, then Scott Huffman again Sunday.

The Belfry is just outside the village on WI-67 and has Jay White Wednesday through Saturday at 7 PM.

Fontana

The Abbey Resort is the main confirmed Fontana music stop this week.

Bar West and Waterfront music fill Wednesday through Saturday. Sunday has brunch music, then Big Al Wetzel at Burnin’ Down the Docks from noon to 3 PM.

Fontana Music in the Park returns just after this weekly window on Thursday, August 20, with Benjamin Spoden from 6 to 8 PM at Reid Park Gazebo.

Abbey Springs

I don’t have a dated public live-music booking inside Abbey Springs itself for August 12 to 18.

The closest dependable public options are The Abbey Resort in Fontana, Pier 290 in Williams Bay, and The Belfry on WI-67.

Village of Walworth

No dated public live-music event was confirmed in the Village of Walworth for August 12 to 18 from the current primary venue and community calendars I checked.

That’s a real gap, so I’m leaving it blank instead of borrowing a business from another town.

Geneva National

Geneva National has one of the cleaner resort schedules this week.

Big Al Duo plays Paloma Cantina Thursday from 6 to 9 PM. Cole Brandt plays the Lodge Friday from 7 to 10 PM, and Chris Kohn takes the Lodge Saturday from 7 to 10 PM.

Phoenix Park Bandshell has Harvestpoint Worship Team Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Hypnotized Saturday from 7 to 9 PM.

Lake Lawn Resort also lists Saturday live music at The Lookout, though the current page doesn’t name this week’s act.

Elkhorn

Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company has a strong weekend.

Terry Byrne plays Friday from 6 to 9 PM. Thirsty Boots Band plays Saturday from 6 to 9 PM. Pete Henry plays Sunday from 1 to 4 PM.

Twin Lakes, Genoa City and Richmond

I did not find a named public live-music booking for August 12 to 18 in the current primary calendars for Twin Lakes, Genoa City or Richmond.

Country Thunder has already passed for 2026. For this week, Williams Bay, Burlington and Lake Geneva have the more dependable public schedules.

Burlington

Brew & Ole’s has Savana Marie Thursday from 6 to 9 PM and Mike Suvaka Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Burlington also has the Browns Lake Aquaducks’ Banana Show Ski Team on Thursday at Fischer Park. The Junior Show starts at 5 PM and the Main Show at 6:30 PM. See the Aquaducks schedule.

Darien

No dated public live-music booking was confirmed in Darien for August 12 to 18.

Duesterbeck’s in Elkhorn and Phoenix Park in Delavan are the closest stronger calendars this week.

Sharon

Sharon’s Music in the Park series runs on the first Wednesday of June, July and August, so its August date has already passed by the time this guide publishes.

I did not find another named public show in Sharon for August 12 to 18.

East Troy

No named East Troy public show was confirmed for this exact August 12 to 18 window from the current major calendars I checked.

The next very big East Troy music dates arrive immediately afterward at Alpine Valley: the Outlaw Music Festival on Friday, August 21, then Tim McGraw on Saturday, August 22.

Whitewater

The Palmyra-Eagle Community Band played Tuesday, August 11, one night before this guide’s date range.

Whitewater City Market returns August 18 from 4 to 7 PM, with the Kids-to-Kids Rummage Sale at 6 PM. The city does not name a band for August 18 on its current special-events page. The next named Concert in the Park is Piper Road Spring on August 25.

Big shows coming right after this week

Fontana Music in the Park has Benjamin Spoden on Thursday, August 20. Alpine Valley has the Outlaw Music Festival Friday, August 21, then Tim McGraw Saturday, August 22.

How I’d pick a night

For a downtown Lake Geneva cocktail night, I’d choose Maxwell Mansion Wednesday.

For free Saturday music, Phoenix Park is the cleanest pick.

For lakefront dinner music, Pier 290 has the fullest weekend calendar.

For a Sunday that starts early and stays easy, The Abbey Resort is hard to beat this week.
