What’s Happening at The Lake: August 4 to 9, 2026

This is the weekend the lake earns its reputation.

Williams Bay throws its Corn & Brat Festival at Edgewater Park with fireworks over the water on Saturday. Art in the Park takes over Flat Iron Park for its 46th year. Lyons runs a rubber duck race down the river. And that is before you get to the Scottish clan gathering in Eagle, the antique flea market on Sunday, or a Cars tribute band at the Phoenix Park Bandshell.

The week before it is quieter, which is your window. Thursday, August 6 is the final Concerts in the Park date of 2026, so if you have been meaning to get to Flat Iron Park with a chair, this is the last call.

Tuesday, August 4

Whitewater City Market and Family Fun Night, Messy Fest. Cravath Lakefront Park, Whitewater. Market 4 to 7 PM, family programming starts at 6 PM. Messy Fest is exactly what the name promises, so dress the kids accordingly.

Joe Diamond’s Psychic Parlor. Maxwell Mansion, Lake Geneva. Evening, ticketed. An intimate mind-reading show in a mansion that already feels like the right room for it.

Wednesday, August 5

Kish Kids Explorers. Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, Williams Bay. Morning, free. Second date of the week.

Kids get in free at Old World Wisconsin. Eagle. 10 AM to 4 PM. Children ages 5 to 12 are free every Wednesday through August 20, adult admission still required. Eagle is about 30 minutes northwest of Lake Geneva.

Aquanut water ski show. Lance Park, Twin Lakes. 6:30 PM, free. Barefoot skiing, pyramids, and jumps about 25 minutes south of Lake Geneva. Bring a chair.

Live music with Doghouse Roses. Maxwell Mansion, Lake Geneva. Evening.

Kenny Rogers Band. Belfry Music Theatre, Delavan. 7 PM, ticketed.

Thursday, August 6

The busiest weekday of the week, and the last Concerts in the Park of the summer.

Lake Geneva Farmers Market. Horticultural Hall, Lake Geneva. 8 AM to 1 PM, free. August is when the corn and tomatoes show up in volume.

Splash, Sparkle, and Bloom, a GCA Flower Show. The Riviera Ballroom, Lake Geneva. 9 AM to 3 PM, free. Presented by the Lake Geneva Garden Club.

Story Time Picnic. Helen Rohner Children’s Fishing Park, Lake Geneva. 10 to 11:30 AM. Geneva Lake Conservancy event with stories, yard games, crafts, and outdoor activities.

Shore Path Stories and Black Point Estate Tour. Starts at The Abbey Resort Marina, Fontana. 10 AM to 2 PM. $50 plus service fee. A guided Shore Path walk to Black Point Estate with lunch and estate history along the way.

Nooks and Crannies Tour at Black Point Estate. 12:30 to 4 PM. The behind-the-scenes version, into rooms most tours skip.

Market at Tower Park. Tower Park, Delavan. 3 to 7 PM, free. Weekly Thursday market in downtown Delavan.

Burlington Farmers Market. Riverside Park, Burlington. 3 to 7 PM. Note the location. For 2026 the market moved to Riverside Park because of construction around Wehmhoff Square.

Williams Bay Lions Club Corn & Brat Festival. Edgewater Park, Williams Bay. Runs Friday through Sunday. Sweet corn, brats, cold beer, live music, and a park that sits right on the water. Saturday brings fireworks after sunset.

Williams Bay Lions Club Corn & Brat Festival. Edgewater Park, Williams Bay. Day 2, with fireworks over the bay after sunset. Get there before dark if you want a spot on the grass.

Saturdays on the Square. Veterans Park, Elkhorn. 9 AM to 1 PM. Market and community gathering in downtown Elkhorn, about 15 minutes northwest of Lake Geneva.

Art in the Park. Flat Iron Park, 200 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva. 10 AM to 5 PM, free admission. The 46th annual juried fine art and craft show from the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation, with more than 80 artists on the lakefront. There is a silent auction, kids art activities, food and beverages, and a free shuttle, which matters more than usual on a weekend this busy. If you like your booth-walking calm, go early. The foundation also runs Gallery 223 downtown at 223 Broad Street if you want more after the show.

Battle of the Clans. Jennings Holler, Eagle. 10 AM to 10 PM. Free to watch. A Scottish gathering with food, music, clan competitions, and axe and knife throwing.

Lyons Riverfest and Duck Frenzy 500. Riverview Park, Lyons. Food, live music, foam fun for the kids, and a rubber duck race called the Duck Frenzy 500, which is a better name than most professional sports events manage.

Elkhorn Antique Flea Market. Walworth County Fairgrounds, Elkhorn. 7 AM to 3 PM. $5 admission, free parking, more than 550 dealers, and worth the early alarm. This is one of only four dates all season, so there is no Saturday version to fall back on.

August 15: Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour rolls through the Sharon area. Rural roads, rest stops, food, and a name the organizers clearly enjoy.

August 19 to 23: Lake Geneva Venetian Festival. Carnival rides, food, music, an arts and crafts fair, a car and motorcycle show, and a water ski show across Flat Iron Park, Library Park, Seminary Park, and the lakefront. The lighted boat parade and fireworks are Sunday, August 23, after dusk. Sunday. Not Saturday. Write it down, because half the lake gets that wrong every year.
