Lake Geneva Events

Lake Geneva events: August 10 to 23, 2026

August just hit the busy part.

The Lake Geneva Events Calendar for the next 2 weeks has free water ski shows, the start of Venetian Festival, big concerts at Alpine Valley, farmers markets, a long-running bicycle tour, and plenty of live music around the lake. I’d put 2 dates in ink right now: the Browns Lake Aquaducks on Thursday, August 13, and the Venetian Festival from August 19 through 23.

For the running master calendar, keep our Lake Geneva Events Calendar open on your phone.

Featured pick: the Aquaducks go bananas on Browns Lake

The Browns Lake Aquaducks have one of the funniest themes on the local summer calendar this year: BANANA SHOW SKI TEAM.

The 2026 theme takes its cue from the Savannah Bananas style of sports entertainment. The Savannah Bananas are the theme, and the performers are the Aquaducks on Browns Lake. The free ski show brings banana-flavored comedy to pyramids, barefoot skiing, jumps and the kind of organized lake chaos that makes show skiing so much fun.

Thursday, August 13: Junior Show at 5 PM, Main Show at 6:30 PM. All About Tacos is the scheduled food truck.

Thursday, August 20: Junior Show at 4:45 PM, Main Show at 6:15 PM.

Both shows are at Fischer Park, 30326 Durand Ave. in Burlington. Admission is free.

I’d arrive early. The park has a clear view across Browns Lake, and the good spots go first on a warm August night. Bring a chair or blanket and plan for sun near the water.

If you’ve never watched a Wisconsin show-ski team from shore, this is a good first one. And the banana theme gives you a perfectly reasonable excuse to wear yellow.

What are the biggest Lake Geneva events in the next 2 weeks?

  • August 13 and 20: Browns Lake Aquaducks free water ski shows in Burlington.
  • August 15: Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour starts in Sharon, with more than 100 miles of marked rural route options.
  • August 19 to 23: Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival takes over downtown Lake Geneva and the lakefront.
  • August 21: Outlaw Music Festival arrives at Alpine Valley Music Theatre with Willie Nelson & Family, The Avett Brothers, Lukas Nelson and a deep bill.
  • August 22: Tim McGraw plays Alpine Valley, while Venetian Festival is in full Saturday mode downtown.

Monday, August 10

Music Monday on Lake Como

The Getaway on Lake Como runs its summer Music Monday series. Check the venue’s current music page before leaving for the performer and any weather changes.

This is an easy Monday plan when downtown Lake Geneva feels a little too busy after the weekend.

Lake Geneva MAGIC

Tristan Crist Magic Theatre continues its summer performance schedule in Lake Geneva. Ticket times vary by date, so book from the theater’s current calendar.

Tuesday, August 11

Joe Diamond’s Psychic Parlor

Joe Diamond’s Psychic Parlor at Maxwell Mansion runs from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.

It’s a small-room show inside one of downtown Lake Geneva’s most distinctive old buildings. Reserve ahead if this is your pick.

Whitewater City Market and Palmyra-Eagle Community Band

Whitewater’s Concerts in the Park series has the Palmyra-Eagle Community Band at 6 PM at Cravath Lakefront Park. Whitewater City Market runs from 4 to 7 PM at the same park.

Cravath Lakefront Park is at 341 S. Fremont St. in Whitewater.

Wednesday, August 12

Jay White’s Neil Diamond tribute at The Belfry

Jay White opens a 4-night run at The Belfry Music Theatre at 7 PM. Shows continue through Saturday, August 15.

The Belfry is at 3601 WI-67, between Williams Bay and Delavan. This is ticketed, and it’s one of the week’s stronger indoor plans if the forecast gets messy.

Terry Byrne at Maxwell Mansion

Terry Byrne plays Maxwell Mansion from 6 to 9 PM.

Disney’s FROZEN at The Fireside

Disney’s FROZEN, The Broadway Musical is running at The Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson through early September, with an added Wednesday matinee on August 12.

Fort Atkinson is outside the immediate Geneva Lake loop, but it’s a reasonable day trip when you want dinner theater and a reserved seat.

Thursday, August 13

Browns Lake Aquaducks Banana Show Ski Team

This is my pick of the week.

Junior Show at 5 PM. Main Show at 6:30 PM. Free at Fischer Park in Burlington. See the Aquaducks schedule.

Geneva National live music

Big Al Duo plays Paloma Cantina at Destination Geneva National from 6 to 9 PM.

Phoenix Park Bandshell

Phoenix Park Bandshell has Harvestpoint Worship Team from 7 to 9 PM in Delavan.

Thursday markets

The Lake Geneva Farmers Market runs at Horticultural Hall, 330 Broad St., from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Our Farmer Markets and Stands Around Lake Geneva guide has the recurring market schedule in one place.

Friday, August 14

Williams Bay Farmers Market

The Friday market runs at Edgewater Park in Williams Bay from 8 AM to 1 PM.

If you’re staying on the west end of Geneva Lake, this is one of the easiest mornings of the week. Go early, then you still have the whole lake day ahead of you.

Southern Wakes United water ski show

Southern Wakes United has a free Lauderdale Lakes show at Lauderdale Landing from 6 to 7 PM.

Friday live music

Doghouse Roses play Pier 290 from 7 to 11 PM in Williams Bay.

Terry Byrne plays Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company from 6 to 9 PM in Elkhorn.

The Belfry’s Neil Diamond tribute continues at 7 PM.

For the full music list, use our Live Music Around Lake Geneva guide.

Saturday, August 15

Saturday is loaded.

Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour in Sharon

The 2026 Roun’da Manure Bicycle Tour is Saturday, August 15. Check-in starts at 6:30 AM in Sharon, and riders can choose among marked rural routes.

The official tour site says the routes add up to more than 100 miles of riding options. Riders get route maps and cue sheets, and the whole thing leans into the dairy-country setting with exactly the amount of cow humor the name promises.

If you’re riding, read the official 2026 route notes before heading out. The event site says its GPS route files were still being updated when checked.

Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra at Covenant Harbor

The Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra presents American Soundscape at Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva from 4 to 5:30 PM.

This is a late-afternoon concert, which leaves room for dinner or another evening show afterward.

Hypnotized at Phoenix Park

Hypnotized, a Fleetwood Mac tribute, plays Phoenix Park Bandshell in Delavan from 7 to 9 PM.

More Saturday music

Scott Huffman plays Pier 290 from 2:30 to 6:30 PM, followed by Telstar from 7 to 11 PM.

Thirsty Boots Band plays Duesterbeck’s from 6 to 9 PM.

The Belfry’s Jay White run closes with a 7 PM show.

Sunday, August 16

Burnin’ Down the Docks at The Abbey Resort

Big Al Wetzel plays Burnin’ Down the Docks at The Abbey Resort in Fontana from noon to 3 PM.

The Waterfront patio is one of those Sunday spots where you can sit down for lunch and accidentally stay longer than planned.

Sunday music in Elkhorn and Lake Como

Pete Henry plays Duesterbeck’s from 1 to 4 PM.

Mars Resort has Chad Hell outside from 3 to 6 PM, followed by Moon Dog from 6 to 9 PM. Check the Mars Resort music calendar before heading over.

Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18

Monday brings another Music Monday at The Getaway on Lake Como.

Tuesday, Whitewater City Market runs from 4 to 7 PM at Cravath Lakefront Park. The city’s August 18 special event is the Kids-to-Kids Rummage Sale at 6 PM.

The 27th annual Geneva Lake West “Open” Golf Outing is also Tuesday, August 18, at Delbrook Golf Course. Registration is scheduled for 10:30 to 11:15 AM, with an 11:30 AM shotgun start. Check the chamber page for current registration status before making plans.

And Tuesday nights at Lake Geneva House of Music are worth checking for the regular Taco Tuesday open mic and jam.

Wednesday, August 19

Venetian Festival opens in Lake Geneva

The 64th annual Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival starts Wednesday, August 19, and runs through Sunday, August 23.

The festival spreads across Flat Iron Park, Library Park, Seminary Park and the downtown lakefront. Wednesday starts the carnival and entertainment pavilion schedule, with Lunch Money Bullies on the live music bill.

This is the point where downtown traffic changes for the rest of the week. Give yourself more parking time than you think you need.

Magic of Motown at The Belfry

Magic of Motown starts a 2-night run at The Belfry at 7 PM on August 19 and 20.

Terry Byrne at Pier 290

Terry Byrne plays Pier 290 in Williams Bay from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

Thursday, August 20

Aquaducks return to Browns Lake

The Aquaducks’ second show in this 2-week window has the Junior Show at 4:45 PM and Main Show at 6:15 PM.

See the current Aquaducks schedule.

Fontana Music in the Park

Benjamin Spoden plays the Reid Park Gazebo in Fontana from 6 to 8 PM.

The lake is right there, and this is the quieter west-end counterpoint to Venetian Festival happening in downtown Lake Geneva.

Geneva National

Terry Byrne plays Paloma Cantina from 6 to 9 PM. See Destination Geneva National’s live music calendar.

Friday, August 21

Outlaw Music Festival at Alpine Valley

The Outlaw Music Festival comes to Alpine Valley Music Theatre with Willie Nelson & Family, The Avett Brothers, Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Sierra Hull, and Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble.

The current bill has a 3:30 PM start.

Alpine traffic is its own animal. If you’re coming from Lake Geneva or Williams Bay, leave far more time than the normal drive would suggest.

Jimmy Buffett tribute at The Belfry

The Belfry starts a 2-night Jimmy Buffett tribute run with Timmy Bluffet & The Hurricanes at 7 PM.

Duesterbeck’s

The Whiskey Belles play Duesterbeck’s from 6 to 9 PM.

Saturday, August 22

Tim McGraw at Alpine Valley

Tim McGraw brings the Pawn Shop Guitar Tour to Alpine Valley Music Theatre at 7 PM with 49 Winchester.

If Alpine is your Saturday plan, build the day around it. Don’t try to squeeze a downtown Lake Geneva dinner into the hour before gates.

Venetian Festival Saturday

Saturday is the full festival day downtown, with carnival hours, arts and crafts programming, the entertainment pavilion and lakefront crowds.

Check the official Venetian Festival schedule before you leave. Specific times can change as the weekend gets closer.

Lakeside Literary Festival

The Lakeside Literary Festival runs from 9 AM to 4 PM at Lake Geneva Public Library.

The day includes author talks, book events and an author fair. Hannah Morrissey is the keynote speaker.

East Troy Railroad Railfan Day

East Troy Railroad Museum has Railfan Day on Saturday, August 22. The first train leaves East Troy at 10 AM, with a different train planned each hour through 3 PM, plus maintenance-facility tours and special rail equipment.

More Saturday music

Big Al Wetzel Band plays Duesterbeck’s from 6 to 9 PM.

Infinity plays Phoenix Park Bandshell in Delavan from 7 to 9 PM.

Sunday, August 23

Venetian Festival boat parade and fireworks

Sunday is the Venetian Festival finish, and this is the date people mix up every year.

The official festival schedule has Rock Central from noon to 3 PM, Big Al Wetzel Band from 3 to 6 PM, a water ski show at 6 PM, and Venetian All Stars from 8 PM to midnight.

The lighted boat parade starts at dusk along the Lake Geneva waterfront. Fireworks follow immediately after the parade.

Sunday, August 23. Put that one in your calendar now.

Drums & Roses at The Abbey Resort

Drums & Roses plays Burnin’ Down the Docks from noon to 3 PM in Fontana.

Keira King at Duesterbeck’s

Keira King plays Duesterbeck’s in Elkhorn from 1 to 4 PM.

A quick planning note for Venetian Festival week

I like to split Venetian week into 2 kinds of days.

Wednesday and Thursday are easier if you want carnival time and live music without the full Saturday and Sunday crush. Sunday is the one to save if the lighted boat parade and fireworks are the reason you’re coming.

Parking near the lakefront tightens up fast. Arrive early, use legal public parking, and expect a longer walk back to the car after fireworks.

Keep the calendar handy

Event details move. Outdoor music can shift with weather, and ticketed events can sell out.

We update the Lake Geneva Events Calendar as the week develops. And if music is your main reason for coming out, our Live Music Around Lake Geneva guide keeps the regular venues in one place.
